Hi there! I’m Jean.
I’m a silly girl in Ohio rockin’ life with my two little boys, husband and dogger. I’m spontaneous, goofy and really sarcastic. I’m creative, especially when it comes to crafting, cooking and photography. Music makes me warm and fuzzy. Exercising makes me sparkle. I love glitter. I’m a chatterbox. How’s that for me in a nut shell?
I believe health and fitness start in one place; the kitchen. Exercise often. Have fun. Repeat.
In 2008, I gave birth to my oldest son. I gained 60 pounds with his pregnancy. Whoops. The first photo was at his baby shower, where I wasn’t even at my highest yet, which ended up being 230 pounds on his birth day. I distinctly remember telling the nurse not to tell me what the scale said and she told me anyway. I threw a hissy fit in my head because it was obviously all her fault. 😉 Through oodles of hard work, I lost all of the weight, and then some, from that pregnancy.
In the next few years, my weight fluctuated [read: flopped around like a fish out of water]. I had our next son in April of 2013. With that pregnancy, I gained 20 pounds by being much more aware of my food choices and remaining active, of course. Apparently I didn’t need the endless supply of orange Tic Tacs I craved in my first pregnancy. Who knew? I had learned that lesson the hard way the first time around, but at least I learned it! 😉
Present day, I’m a momma of two. I am 34 years old. I work full-time and own a business as well. I’ve grown and birthed two beautiful babies; one by c-section and one naturally. I have Hashimoto’s and a nodule on my thyroid. I have a blood disorder called Polycythemia Rubra Vera, which can cause fatigue, blood clotting, migraines and many other not-so-glorious issues. I have a slipped disc in my lower back that causes me pain every.single.day.
You know what? I have no excuses because I am determined. I am strong. I am in the best health of my life.
This life doesn’t define us. We define our lives.
I’m happy you’re here. Join me on this journey!
